“I lift up my eyes to the hills – where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
Psalm 121:1-2 NIV.
Sometimes people are going to let you down. They don’t always mean to do it. You get it. You’ve let others down too.
Intentional or not, it still hurts – especially when you’re going through a difficult season.
You may feel like the walls are closing in on you, that you have nowhere to turn, and no one cares about what you’re going through.
Look up, precious soul. God cares.
God will never let you down. He has never failed you, and He’s not about to start now when you really need Him.
Of course, that doesn’t mean your relationship with Him has shifted – He’s still going to correct you and only give you what He knows is best.
Just because He doesn’t provide what YOU think you should have or answer in the time YOU believe He should, it doesn’t mean He’s failed you.
It simply means HE is God, and you need to trust Him.
So don’t look around to others to be all that you need or to have all the answers. Look up to your Heavenly Father to be the great I AM.
Then when others let you down, it won’t be so painful because you’ll know your faithful Heavenly Father will be there to catch you and hold you close in His unfailing love.
