You may be wondering what’s happening to our world. It seems like the days of sitting on the porch snapping beans and listening to the rain or the giggles of children sprinting from the bus stop are being replaced.

Replaced by what?

Maybe you’re seeing a whole lot of anger and frustration while you’re behind the wheel or at work. Maybe panic, confusion, and fear are overwhelming your corner of the world. Perhaps you’ve spotted people turning on each other, pointing fingers and accusing with hatred on their lips.

The world seems to be falling apart and unraveling at a fast pace.

Remember this, precious soul – All Scripture is God-breathed truth. It is solid ground. When the world shakes because man is trying to run the show, stand on God’s Word. When lies seem to be the common language among so many and it’s hard to know what’s real and what isn’t, who’s telling the truth and who isn’t, you can trust God and His Word – God does not lie and His Word is truth.

You don’t have to wonder what’s going on in the world and why things are getting so nasty – you can read about it and understand.

And you can be ready.

You don’t have to be afraid and give into the panic and confusion around you – you can have wisdom directly from God which will bring you peace.

You don’t have to worry that things are going to spin so drastically out of control that you’re going to be lost and that God can’t save you. No matter what things SEEM like, God is still in complete control. Cling to Him, and you’ll be safe – in this life and for eternity.

Don’t believe the lies that darkness overcomes the light, that standing on God’s Word is old-fashioned, or that Jesus isn’t coming back.

Oh, dear soul, Jesus Christ IS coming back. It could be on this very day. No one knows but the Father. He’s going to lift up His children – those who confess with their mouths, “Jesus is Lord” and believe that God raised Him from the dead – and He’s going to take us home.

Be ready.

In the meantime, instead of asking, “What in the world is going on?” you can ask, “What in THIS world are You wanting me to do before You take me home, Lord?”

Time as we’ve always known it is coming to a close. The story is about to shift.

What will be your part? Will you stand beside your brothers and sisters in Christ, refusing to allow your love for God and His children to grow cold?

Will you ready yourself and those within your range of influence? Ask God to expand your range, your territory?

Or will you be too consumed by the chaos of this world and all its noise to hear the still, small voice of your Lord and what He’s asking you to do?

Finish strong, dear soul. Keep your eyes and your heart fixed on Jesus. Encourage others to do the same. Now is the time to shine brighter than ever before.

And don’t you dare lose hope! Your hope is not lost – it is about to be fulfilled.

“At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.”
