In His Presence

“You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”

Psalm 16:11 NIV.

You may be washing dishes or folding laundry today. Maybe you’re going to drive someone to their appointment or pick the kids up from school.

You may be in a crowded office surrounded by the buzz of business or alone on the couch, curled up with your favorite throw.

Perhaps you’re dealing with an illness that zaps all your strength or battling depression that wipes you out on the inside.

Whatever you’re facing right now, you have to know that God is with you.

He knows about your daily chores, those who depend on you, what you’re facing, and all your battles. God knows and remembers all there is to know about you.

But do you remember Him during your day, or are you caught up in the rat race society tells you is the norm? Are you consumed with your agenda, your plans, or even your battles?

Don’t you see? God jealousy longs for you to spend time with Him! He wants you to call on Him, so He can whisper encouragement to you while you’re at the doctor’s office. He wants you to remember Him while you’re standing at the sink, so He can sing with you while you’re washing the dishes. He doesn’t want you to rush out the door, missing the sunrise He painted and hung in the sky over your new day.

Your Heavenly Father is not far away, ignoring your little corner of the world. He’s with you NOW, waiting for you to notice His fingerprints all around you in the midst of your noisy day and lonely hours.

Do you see Him in the eyes of the child at the grocery store? Do you recognize His handiwork in flower petals and butterfly wings? Do you hear His strength in the thunder or His tenderness from the songbirds outside your window?

You may not realize it, but the more you think of Him and learn to appreciate all He’s done and continues to do, the more you’ll realize how close He really is to you – you’ll discover you’re in the midst of His presence.

And in His presence, there is joy for every task in every day and plenty to share. ❤️
