“Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.”
Hebrews 10:23 NLT.
It’s no secret that the world is getting darker. Maybe your own corner of the world is darker than it’s ever been.
The unthinkable happens. Health issues. Financial stress. Daily uncertainties.
Maybe you feel like you’re grasping at the wind in the dark, trying to find something to hold onto while a storm rages and howls – you know it’s close but you’re not sure when it’s going to hit.
It’s as if you’re living in a state of dread, and it’s getting harder to just get out of bed in the morning.
Oh, dear soul. There is still hope! Hope in the One who promised to never leave you – you can cling to Him in the dark.
The promise that Jesus is coming back for you – keep looking up with expectant hope.
The promise through your Savior, Jesus Christ, that your life will not end when you close your eyes here, but it will be revealed in a glorious homecoming when you open your eyes to behold Him in eternity.
Yes, this world is getting darker. But it’s like the ending of a movie just before something wonderful and brand new begins on the screen.
Heaven is being prepared for YOU. Your place. There is room for you there. Rewards. Treasures. Loved ones who’ve gone before you.
Pain, tears, and darkness will be a distant memory as if from a dream you once had but can’t quite remember.
Oh, precious soul. Keep clinging to Jesus as you shine your light, whistling and singing with joy as you head home.
It will not only dispel the sense of dread and the darkness around you, but it will light the way for others to find their way home and into the arms of the One who always keeps His promises.
