Overwhelmed with Busyness

Life has its busy seasons. Summer can be one of them.

There are graduation parties to attend, gardens to plant, flowerbeds to weed, family reunions or vacations to plan, and the various projects you keep putting off until the weather cooperates.

Now, the sun is shining, but instead of closing your eyes and thanking God for the warmth kissing your face, you find yourself groaning because the grass needs cut.

Do you feel pressured to work faster and longer hours to get everything done? Does it seem like there’s a line of people staring you down and waiting on you, those you don’t want to disappoint?

Oh, precious soul. Don’t let the world squeeze God out of your day. Don’t forget what He’s called you to do, and don’t keep putting it off because the weeds are tackling the flowers or the siding needs to be scrubbed.

Don’t be so busy digging into each day’s to-do list that you miss what God is planting in your life right now.

Who knows? He may want to fill this busy season with a profound blessing unlike any other – more of Him than you’ve ever experienced. ❤️

“Come near to God and he will come near to you.”

James 4:8a NIV.
