God wasn’t confused when He created you. You were not a mystery to Him, a blur or an unclear image.
You weren’t born riddled with errors, something you need to figure out and stress over to fix.
When you look in the mirror, don’t argue with God that He’s made a mistake. He’s the Creator. You’re the creation. He’s the Potter. You’re the clay.
“What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator. Does a clay pot argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying, ‘Stop, you’re doing it wrong!’ Does the pot exclaim, ‘How clumsy can you be?'”
(Isaiah 45:9 NLT.)
How can you take what He’s created and totally change it because you feel something is wrong?
Are your feelings that trustworthy? Do you not change your mind about other matters from time to time? Why, you even struggle to make decisions about what to eat based on your cravings for the moment.
When you crave to completely change your body, totally tearing down what God has purposefully created and built up, you’re harming something sacred.
Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. You are not a mistake. Even if your parents didn’t plan on your arrival, your Heavenly Father did.
You are a masterpiece, one God thought of before you were conceived. He created you with precision in the womb.
Oh, precious and beautiful soul, take some time and get to know the One who created you. Read His words throughout the Bible. Find a Bible-teaching and believing church. They’re out there. Don’t be discouraged. Keep looking.
In all your searching for answers, love, and significance, why not try God?
Others may have hurt you, but don’t let that drive you away from God or deceive you into thinking YOU need to change your identity so you won’t become like them.
Don’t you see? Your Heavenly Father longs to hold and love you and let you in on a little “secret” of His own – you were wonderfully made – just the way He made you.
Thank you for reminding us of HIs great love, if we only seek HIm.
