Your Next Step

You might be waiting and wondering about your next step.

You might feel lost. Unimportant. Invisible.

You’ve tried to figure out what to do, but all your obsessing has left you drained and still standing in the same spot.

So, you stand here unable to move as fear holds your feet to the ground and the “what ifs” bombard your thoughts.

You’re overwhelmed and even discouraged when you peek into the lives of others, thinking they’ve got it all together, while you’re the only one “out here” trying to figure out your purpose, your next step, and how it will all come together.

Oh, precious soul. Trust that God sees you and will show you, speak to you, and guide you in the direction you should go.

Don’t get in a hurry to move.

Don’t worry about your next step.

Don’t panic. Pray.

You know your Shepherd’s voice – if you’re struggling to recognize it, read His word. You’ll hear Him there.

Follow Him when He leads.

If He hasn’t led you from this spot, take heart and trust that He will.

When you’re ready.

When the next part of your story is ready for you.

There are many things happening behind the scenes that you can’t see.

God is preparing others to walk beside you.

Circumstances to change.

Paths to intersect.

It all has to come together so you’ll KNOW God was behind it all, and not your fixing and figuring out, sorting and shifting.

Let God sift things that need to be removed to make room for what you need to carry into this next part of your journey.

You can’t carry it all.

So, get rid of your preconceived notions of what YOU think your next step should be.

Drop the “I’ve failed” shame at your feet.

Forget all the ideas others have scattered around you like bread crumbs, trying to lead you out of this dense forest.

They don’t know all the plans the Lord has for you.

Remember, calling out to God is NEVER failing.

Clinging to Him is never the wrong move.

So, do just that.

Spend time with God, and call out to Him.

Stop looking at others to be your way out of the woods.

Cling to your Savior and let Him lead you.

He wants to lead you.

He longs to guide you.

He’s waiting for the perfect time.

So, wait with Him.💖

“In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.” (Proverbs 16:9 NIV.)
