A Nudge

Get busy being the Christian you claim to be.

Read that again.

That isn’t meant to beat you down but to lift you up and into your calling.

Start sowing the seeds God gives you to plant.

Be generous.

Scatter those seeds everywhere you go.

Encouragement.

Kindness.

Love.

Speak of Jesus Christ.

Tell your story.

Share how He’s touched your heart and changed your life.

Don’t hold anything back.

Share the raw truth of your past.

Let the world see your tears and feel your pain.

Jesus is real.

Your past and pain are real.

Tell it all.

Tell them how you fell apart in the airport and how He comforted you.

How you surrendered to Him on the beach, the peace you felt.

Share how you were angry because you thought He failed when the healing didn’t come – share how His healing led to eternal life.

Tell them how He forgives when you ask.

If you share and they laugh, get angry, or roll their eyes, pray for them as you keep sharing with those beside them.

Keep going.

Press on.

Keep running.

Life is a race, and the finish line is on the horizon.

Those who believe will soon be lifted up.

Taken away from the darkness that is growing even darker.

In the meantime, trust the Holy Spirit – listen for Him to speak, lead, and show you how to snatch others from the fire.

Along your path, scatter seeds and water others.

You’re a part of a team – you don’t have to do it all.

Just do your part.

If you’re not running but climbing the world’s ladder of status and accomplishments, you’re going to miss out.

You see, being a Christian is more than a label – it’s a call to action.

To love God with everything you’ve got.

And love your neighbor, ALL of His children, as yourself.

Again, if you’re going to call yourself a Christian and claim to be a Christ follower, you better start acting like it.

The day is coming when the race will be over.

Everything will change.

There will be no more time to sow or water seeds.

The door will be closed.

The opportunities to point to your Savior when the world is looking at you and to grab others by the hand, to walk with them, and lead them into His presence so they can choose Him too…

will be gone.

There will be no more time to invite them.

No more chances to send a text or call with an encouraging word.

You won’t get a single moment back.

There will be no more chances to push through the uncomfortableness and even the inconvenience to ask the pressing question that will affect their eternity.

The time is NOW.

Tell them because you love them.

Ask them because you love the One who saves YOU:

“Jesus is the only way to the Father in Heaven, the only One who saves. Will you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead?”

I hope and pray that you do, my friend. ♥️

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

(John 14:6 NIV.)

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”

(Romans 10:9-10 NIV.)
