The Only One

What if you were the only one available to take an elderly neighbor to her doctor’s appointment?

What if you were the only one who noticed a child running in the parking lot, headed straight for a car backing out of a spot?

What if you were the only one who knew how a single mom struggled to feed her three children?

What if you were the only one who knew the secret weighing down a friend and how close he was to giving up everything?

Sometimes you’re the only one God entrusts to a situation or a particular need.

If you only KNEW, you wouldn’t care if your car had rust spots or needed vacuumed when you picked up your neighbor. You wouldn’t hesitate to pull the child out of harm’s way in the parking lot. You wouldn’t think twice about your lack of cooking skills when you dropped off a pan of lasagna and a few loaves of garlic bread to the single mom in tears. And you wouldn’t worry whether or not you had the perfect words for your friend who suffered under the weight of his secret. You’d just show up and speak from your heart.

Suddenly, you would realize being perfect doesn’t matter at all.

Your willingness to act does.

Remember, each precious soul matters to God. So, let Him use your beautiful heart to help those who are hurting or lost.

Someone will be thankful you did. ♥️

“Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?”

Luke 15:4 NIV.
